Today I was painting faces for our school’s art show and a little girl with dwarfism sat down.

She asked for a butterfly on her face. While I was painting, she told me that she was glad that she was smaller, because then she could “always win at hide and seek” and “always be different from the other kids.”

Her optimism GMH.

I’m starting an education blog. I guess you’d probably like to know a little something about me. I’m a senior undergrad at a 4 year private university in Texas in a 5 year masters program. I’m currently student teaching a group of great 2nd graders! This will most likely be a place for my ramblings and thoughts on lesson plans and to get to know some of the other great teachers on tumblr and hopefully pick up some good ideas!
